Cifrea builds tools for households that want to run their money properly.
A small independent software company in the United Arab Emirates, working on one problem: giving a household the same clarity about its own finances that any company takes for granted about its own.
Where this came from
Cifrea did not start as a company. It started as a spreadsheet, built to answer one question honestly. What is this household actually worth today, across accounts in two countries and three currencies?
Getting to a number we could trust took more than a list of expenses. It took an income statement, a balance sheet, a strict line between spending money and simply moving it, and the discipline of checking against real bank balances every month. The spreadsheet grew to fifty tabs and ran the household for four years.
It became an app because a spreadsheet cannot be two people at once. One person logging a coffee from a phone while the other checks the mortgage on a laptop is not something fifty tabs of formulas will ever do well.
Everything we publish comes out of that ledger. Five years of continuous, reconciled, real data, including the categories we had wrong for two years and the habits that finally made the numbers trustworthy.
How we work
Your data is not the product
We do not sell your data, mine it for advertising, or build a profile of you. We make money by selling software, which is the only model that does not put us in conflict with you.
Written from a real ledger
Every article comes out of a system in daily use, not from a content calendar. Where we got something wrong for years, we say so. That is usually the useful part.
Independent and small
No investors to satisfy, and no growth target that would push us into making the product worse. It is a deliberate constraint. It is also why the roadmap is slow and the decisions are ours.
